Organic Telangana Sona Rice (Low GI) is a lightweight and aromatic medium grain rice. Each grain is refined to perfectly preserve the wholeness of nutrition and exquisiteness in taste. It can be used in making dishes such as sweet pongal, biryani, idlis and fried rice. It is high caloric food with rich carbohydrate and protein. This rice is Gluten free. This new rice variety is called RNR 15048 which is blast resistant paddy variety. The name “Telengana Sona” comes from the usual region that is grown. This variety has low Glycemic index of 51 and 5% more protein compare white rice that has an average GI of 64, making it a medium-GI food.
